Hello folks,
I have added the FileUpload component to a php page in CodeCharge. The script uploads the files to the temp location, however, the files are never moved to the File Folder location. No database is involved and no errors are generated. My settings are:
Control Source Type - Database Column
Control Source - [none]
Temporary Folder - /home/ccqq/public_html/Dealers/Content/temp
File Folder - /home/ccqq/public_html/Dealers/Content
Allowed File Masks - *.txt
Any ideas on why the files aren't being moved over? Is the best solution just to alter the events so that the file is uploaded under the original filename to the File Folder?
Thanks,
Donna

As I recall, the CodeCharge FileUpload component requires a database as this
is where it stores the file name and anything else you want to save
regarding the file. You can try creating a simple table for the purpose and
see if it helps.

Thanks, that would be it indeed. As soon as I set up the db table, the rest of the functions worked perfectly. I thought there'd be a way to use the feature without using a table, but I gather not.
Thanks again,
Donna

You are free, of course, to use the $_FILES and $_POST data structures to
move/store files without the database dependency. It means a half-dozen
lines of code in a suitable event such as the OnClick of a submit button.
