I should also mention I'm using SourceSafe from Microsoft, but I don't believe that program is the culprit. Anyway, once I verify myself through SourceSafe, CCS loads completely. Then I click on a page and check it out. Immediately after I click "check out", it locks up and you hear the familar "ding" sound when you click the mouse button anywhere within a program. Nothing gets checked out, btw, or anything of the sort. It just freezes and I must kill the process through task man. I don't know what's causing it. All SourceSafe says an unexpected error occured and I may need to run the analyzer utility which we do. Everything is fine, though, and no specific error messages are given. The program simply locks up. Have others had tthe same problem and what shall I do to resolve this?
Thank you.
I'm using version 3.2.0.2.

The 'ding' sound usualy indicates there is anather dialogue window opened
asking for you attention but not shown in the foreground.
I have had this happen in the past (without SVC) when:
- in CCS close project
- In CCS click Menu->Tools->General
"Close the FTP upload dialog box........" should be checked
Have a try who knows it might solve your problem.

Guess what? You assumptions were correct. However, it was deceptive in nature because, for some unkown reason, the dialog box was not only off but off the deskop itself! In other words, I couldn't move it or drag it or anything of the sort. I realized this after I opened up volume control and noticed it was also off the desktop and I couldn't move it. I was about to reinstall the scvol32 file from the XP disk when I realized a dialog box was popping up off screen, too. I have two monitors and ati catalyst drivers, btw. So, I had to play around with the display properties and i finally had my dialog boxes back on the desktop. VERY strange. I still don't understand what happened. I know my resolution was changed last week but that's about it. I'm thinking the catayst drivers did something to the COM.

What version are you using?
My assumption was right because this was in fact a CCS3 beta problem I reported.
Thanks for the credit though.
Aha multi monitor setup, good job used that for a long time too.
17"left 15"right, now changed to Dell 24", which is a loss in respect to being able to develop on screen 1 and see result running on screen2, but certainly a gain as to readablitiy, lol.
Not related: Have you seen the possibilities CCS gives in respect to organizing the workspace? highly recommended!
