I created an application were I can upload self extracting executable files.
When I click on the file link I only get the option to "Save file" or Cancel" in the Windows message box.
Is there a way that the Windows message box would also display the "run" or "open" choice like it does when clicking on a excel or word document link?
My goal is that the 2 step process of downloading the file and then clicking on the downloaded exe file to extract it would become just a 1 step process.
Thanks for any help or hints

http://www.hansenb.pdx.edu/DMKB/dict/tutorials/mime_typ.php
Old but valid list of MIME types. http://de.selfhtml.org/diverses/mimetypen.htm
more recent but in German.
You need to identify (or you already know because using a specific page)
that you are offering a zip for dowload.
Then you need to set the MIME type to application/zip
The link should then repond, open, save, cancel and trigger the locals
system unzip.
