seems like a silly question but how do I lenghten a cell within a grid. I tried pulling it in desgin mode, but when I upload it reverts to the original size. I have a field (comment) that usually contains one or two sentences, and when thats in a grid it makes all the cells too tall- so i thought if it's cell was lenghtened it would reduce it's impact on all othe rcells. see pic

I tried to change it in design mode, but it either affects the whole grid, or when I just grab the field in that cell and stretch, it does change the view, but after saving and uploading, the web shows the old formatting

What is the size of the Grid?? Or did you set a width for the Grid?? You should be able to select a table TD (column) and set the size of the column. This is all dependent on the width of the Grid. Let me know if this works.

thanks for the tip- i just want to increase the width of the comment column so i tried setting width to 264 by right clicking and choosing td on the cell, label, and sorter for the comment field, but it doesn't have any effect, the colum for "comment" is still bunched and causing the other cells to go tall.

any ideas anyone. it seems like i'm missing something real simple here- in design mode- right clicking the cell, the sorter, or label, - for that column, -then changing td width values has no effect on the column width, but what does

I have run into this before: Make sure the table's width is set to 100%
