 difference between Value and Getvalue()?

I see Codecharge use these two properties in their code and I even see it in the code with which I'm interfacing. What is the precise difference or differences between Value and GetValue()?

GetValue() gets a value. SetValue() stores a value. I think Values stores multiple values from an array (right???). But what about Value?
