Hi
I am new to this fourm and seeking help to build a grid which will enable logon user data view only .
like I have related to diffirent users and I want them not to see each other data when loging in to the application every body should see the data related to his userID or it should be specificlly visible in grid .
for example I have 9 users and I have recorded data for all of them but I don't want if user 1 is loged in he should see all the data . I want that he should see only data belong to his user ID or his name or something like that .

Please help how I can build a grid for this .
thanks
Jani Ali

Hi,

Use the search function at bottom of forum. search for "session userid" you should find alot.

Or try this: Once a user logs in, a session is started (CCS does that for you). In your security settings of the project, you can "connect" your user table to "UserID" from the session that CCS starts. After this, you can use the UserID as any other parameter you normally use. Set it in the grid etc. as "where" parameter > YourUserID=UserID > set type to session.

Good luck,

Rene

you coudl use UserID type Session or the function CCgetuserid() type Expression

CCgetuserid() is more general since you coudl change the custom Security and still will work.
if you use Custom Security section you will have to go back and chnage all your filters

check how:
http://www.serversa.com/swftut/ccgetuserid.html

(old version of CCS but is almost the same)
