Hello,

i want to develop an document management system and have 2 request

1) the files, which are downloaded through the browser and edited (for example doc files, xls files, etc...) should be uploaded automatically after editing

2) how could i do that, if i download a doc file for editing / printing, which has fields for a form letter, that the connected data source (flat files, xls, html, ...) is downloaded too? or is it possible, that the datasource is still on the server? Which means the url is http://server/...?

Thanks in advance for tips and tricks

Peter

Wouldn't a web based version of you of Word documents be a more elegant solution? I'm not sure about your audience, not everyone has Word or the same version Word.
