i want users to be able to select only 1 item in a checkbox list but what ever i try after publishing the page al check boxes can be checked and are updated if i check them. According to the manual user should be able to check only one checkbox if the checkbox list is based on a database column. Can any one tell me where i can find the property that controls this. I've also searched the examples and tried to accomplish it with the example many to many relationships (multiple property) but that doesn't work either. If it can't be done, i will have to program it in java en place it in the onclick event of the checkbox.
Hope someone has the answer for me

Normally checkbox list is used to give to user posibility to select MORE than 1 choices. In your case you need just use Radio buttons! Or no?

I had a similar request that did not fit into radio buttons. I used the OnValidate event, got the value of each box and made sure the sum was one. They could still chose more than one box, but it would not submit until there was exactly one box chosen.
