The glaring omission in the CCS4 press release/product update materials is
any mention of fixing bugs in the IDE. For example, will those
'Coinitialize' errors stop popping up when we try to copy to the clipboard?
Will the HTML panel at least make an effort to keep the cursor close to
where I left it? Will the HTML panel retain focus after I flip back from
the code panel? Will CCS do a better job of maintaining the html
formatting?
The IDE developed numerous quirks and aggravations in the change from V2 to
V3. Most all of them seem related to selecting 'stuff' and doing something
with what was selected. Hearing that they've been resolved, if only
partially, would make me want to upgrade immediately. I took a long time to
switch to V3.2 and was 'rewarded' with a more frustrating user interface.
I'm not so sure about the AJAX support, because the alternative jQuery
implementation of these services is, in my opinion, much cleaner/extensible
and seems to be the direction that the mainstream is going. Google is going
the jQuery way, which sort of sets a precedent others will follow.
The fact that I'm sitting here debating with myself whether there's $200
worth of improvement to upgrade to this new version is unfortunately.

Hear, hear.
That 'co-initialize' thing, the slowness of auto-complete, and the fact that all copy/paste functions would magically die were quite disconcerting. And the crummy documentation was really off-putting at first.
But in general, the product works well.
My concern is that, despite that this is a new version, it's still somewhat behind the current state of what I see other development systems do. I know my frustration with the product was because I was coming from a non-web dev perspective and I was hoping it would help me get up to speed. But the above problems (especially the docs) left kind of a bad taste in my mouth.
But, like I said, the product -does- generally work as advertised so perhaps I'm being too harsh.
I go back and forth on CCS a lot. :D

Agree with DonB, agree with Suntower.
In general CCS4 works, but with all the well known minor bugs, CCS4 was released a little early. I was expecting that obvious bugs/incorrect functionality will be fixed.
Also, it would be nice if Yes provide customers with transparent, accessible for registered users, bug tracking process/status.
