I have converted a project from v3 to v4 with a customized file upload page. The page still inserts into the database but does not actually upload the file. I have checked my temp and the appropriate folder and the file never appears.

Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on where to start troubleshooting since there is no error?

Thanks.

I had similar problem even with v3. I have copied Upload component from one record to another record and it stoped to work (on the new record)! After I had to insert Upload component again (from tool bar) and it starts to work (a new one that I have added).

Gena,

Thanks for the reply. That is going to be my last resort as I have a lot of custom coding I don't want to reproduce.

Any other ideas on troubleshooting? I may need to contact support but want to exhaust my other options first.

Thanks.

Go to _events.php of your page in CODE view.
Copy the 'lot of custom code' to a safe place.
Delete the upload component (save page).
Regenerate, add new upload component.
Open that components event and paste the copied code back in.
Change the referenc to the old component into the new (if name differs)
That should do it, at a rapid pace.
