Hi there,

I have a grid form and a record form for editing. no problem there.

The grid has about 90 records (administrative settings).

The records belong to groups and I have the sort oder in the grid by group asc.

I was hoping to use a panel to show a custom row containing a "group" label only when the grouping changes in the list.

I have created the custom html and i have the panel and the row in place, so I am hoping for suggestions about the code strategy.

I hope my description makes sense.

All ideas appreciated.

Depending on how praticed you are in CCS and PhP,
this idea is in the HelpFile under
'Examples and Techniques'->Programming->SimpleReporting->Simple Report with Group Headings.

Do not be put off by it being a report, the basics apply to a grid as well.
Let's see where this gets you........

Hi Walter,

Thanks, I had thought I saw that example in the forums, but I couldn't find it.

Now I know why (blush)

Again thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
