CCS4 / MySql / PHP

Is there a simple way to toggle the update button on/off in an editable grid ?

example: a large editable grid with 50 check boxes, to protect the records from
stupid users clicking without thinking and changing values, want to implement
a lock/unlock click action to lock/unlock the editable grid prior to changing data

thanks in advance

You cold try putting the controls inside panels and se the hide/show to have them display when an unlock variable is in the URL. Th
en just have a search grid with a simple Unlock switch in it.
