I first downloaded v4 a few days ago. Installed on a virgin laptop (i.e. one that has never had CC on it). The laptop runs Vista, Home Premium and a pretty standard collection of software pre-installed by Dell.
The first couple of times using CC, no problem. However, at some point, when it would publish a project... CC would crash. When I started a new project... things would be OK... for a while... but I could never work with project that crashed. Eventually, this happended to each project.
So, I unstalled, downloaded the latest and greatest version... and re-installed. Since I did that... I can't even get CC to load. That is, after the splash screen... I see progress messages... and when I see the progress message relating to "creating dockable windows," or something like that, it's over. By "it's over," I mean; either 1) CC seems to just stop loading or 2) the laptop re-boots.
Very weird... any thoughts, ideas, suggestions, etc?

This probably isn't going to be very helpful but from my experience lately, the problem is likely more related to Vista than CCS. I have had the same problem with other software on Vista after uninstalling and then trying to re-install.
In my case the software wasn't critical so I didn't pursue it but if it was, I would probably start with the registry and make sure that absolutely everything was cleared out after an uninstall before re-installing it.
Hope that helps,
Pete

Yes, I tried that... have been doing everything "as adminstrator," but thanks for the thought.
