Hello ,
I have a web app which features customized screens that generate reports . It appears that codecharge 2.0.5 was used to develop these report screens....the problem is... I encounter an error whenever I try to generate reports with huge/long/large outputs...the browser just hangs for hours , sometimes the output is shown onscreen but the print window hangs both in Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.13 and in IE.
Can someone please shed some light on this issue ?
Thanks. I would really appreciate your help.

We need some more information......
What database are you using??
How many records are you querying??
Have you tested your query in the database to see if it is working correctly??
Has this report ever worked correctly??
Have you considered upgrading to the newest version of CCS??

hello mambo
What database are you using?? ans: mysql
How many records are you querying?? ans: over 200 records, this query is a Join statement with resulting records comin from varied db tables.
Have you tested your query in the database to see if it is working correctly?? ans: yes it works...infact the result output onscreen..it just takes about 20 min to do so. the problem is the browser hangs when trying to print the report.
Has this report ever worked correctly?? ans: no never been able to print this report as the browser hangs when trying to print .
Have you considered upgrading to the newest version of CCS?? ans: I would be interested if this will resolve the problem..could you enlighten me please?

What version of MySQL are you using?
Did you say that the output screen takes 20 minutes?? If this is true then we need to look more at your tables (assuming that they have indexes) and how your query is written. Is it possible to get more information on the tables involved in the query as well as the query iteself. 20 minutes for 200 records is wwwwaaaaaayyyyyyy to long. Are you outputting the records in a pdf file or as a screen output?
