Hi,

I have a page with a search record form and grid, encased inside an Ajax update panel. I have 4 html radio buttons on the search record form, all with the same name; in this way, only one is selectable at a time. The values of the radio buttons are Begin, Finish, All, and Random, with All as the default value when the page loads. I have some other controls on the search page like textboxes and listboxes, which work okay with the update panel.

I click the search button and remembers what I typed in the textboxes and the options chosen in the listboxes. If I select the Begin radio button and click the search button, the page will refresh and the All radio button is selected. This shouldn't occur. It should remember that I chose the Begin radio button. Maybe I'm doing something wrong or maybe the ajax update panel doesn't work with html controls. If someone can help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

Thank you.

Actually, maybe the update panel is not the problem..it definitely complicates matters and might be adding to the problem. What I've noticed on another search and grid page (without ajax) is the radio button doesn't retain its value after a postback. It appears the radio button's value is being sent to the querystring; so, something doesn't make sense. The radio buttons are unchecked upon page load, which means nothing is checked on page refresh (that is, when the user clicks the search button, a postback is initiated and the page is refreshed with the appropriate querystring for grid consumption). Again, the radio button that was selected before postback should be selected after, as well. It doesn't make sense...
