Can anyone tell me how to use the Dlookup ACTION? It looks like it would be much quicker to fill in these 8 fields than add custom code. If I could figure out what these 8 fields mean and their syntax...

Much appreciate to anyone for their help.

Jay

P.S. <complaint>I must honestly say that I find the documentation for CCS to be so woefully inadequate and often cryptic. I wish they (you) could throw some examples in here and there. </complaint>

OK, I'm done be snarky, and I figured it out through trial and error. Here's a quasi-example that assumes you know how to add the action and are getting ready to fill in the table. I'm adding "Comments" afterward, just to give more explanation

Expression: "Product" --> name of the field, in quotes
Domain: "Products" --> name of the table, in quotes
Criteria: "ProductID=".$FormName->ProductID->GetValue()
Connection: Connection -->name of the connection - I'm very original...
Convert Results to: Text
Type of Target: Control
Target: ProductID --> I'm putting it right back into the field that gave the original value.

While it basically builds a CCDLookup statement for you, it's faster this way. I like it.
