I don't know who suggested this but I think that it would be a great idea..........If the person who creates a thread and has it resolved add [Resolved] to the title. This way anyone who is helping others will know whether or not a solution was found for that particular thread.

Also, (brownie points to wkempees) you if think that the solution to your question/problem is a good tip then you might want to put [TIP] instead of [RESOLVED].
Just a friendly reminder to the community to please help us help each other.
