Hello - I would like to develop projects using CCS on either an iMAC or Linux running VMware. I am concerned about stability and performance. Does anyone have experience with either of these configurations?
regards,
bernie

No Problem on :
VMWare Free Server edition - XP running XP + CCCS + XAMPP
VirtualBox -XP running XP + CCCS + XAMPP
VirtualPC2007 - VISTA running XP + CCCS + XAMPP (prior to switching to VISTA)

Thanks Walter - I have not been impressed with the general performance of Virtual PC on my G5 but I may try VMware on an Intel based Mac. XAMPP sounds interesting - I have been installing Apache, PHP and PostgreSQL separately on various Windows machines, primarily because our production environment is Linux/PostgreSQL/Apache. MySQL would not be too much of an issue at the development stage except for some stored procedures we use for auditing.

You can install Postgress on XAMPP just as easy as you could on any other system (hm I think)
But whilest running one VM with XP CCS, run another with a LAMP install f.i. FreeBSD including PSQL
You run the one or the other so performancewise that should not be such a problem, meaning
VM1 has focus, do CCS on XP, publish to the server (VM2), focus on VM2 and test, and so on.

Hi,
Mac book pro (intel) VMWare Fusion + CCS = perfect
Mac book pro (intel) Parallels Desktop +CCS = perfect
Runs like a native windows machine.
