great job!!!

:-X

My suggestion to CCS users & Yes Team if we could list existing bugs in a seperate post which were not resolved in this version.

The list to be compiled and updated by YES Team in the inital message which they can edit and update.

This will help ccs user to have handy workarounds to those bugs rather than wasting their own time.

Sent in several bug reports with little or no response. I am sure that you are working on updates and changes to the product. WE ALL want to see this product become solid and stable. The following is specific to C#.Net with inMotion Framework.

1). It would be nice for CCS to share the updates or at least give us a date that we could expect to see these (or at least some of these) changes/fixes/updates. Again, speaking at least for myself (and I am sure there are many others) frequent notification to your users would be greatly appreciated.

2). Could you set up a forum specifically for ".net in-motion Framework using C#". I do not like to fish around for answers and this would make my experiences with ccs more enjoyable.

3). What about the documentation. Using inmotion Framework and C# this seems to be very limited. Looking for a complete source of functions, variables and code with examples for both C# using inmotion Framework. I have been finding what may work with C#.net is not necessarily true with C#.net and Inmotion. For example the code that I found in your documentation for "hiding a grid when empty" is:
if (PagesCount == 0) {
ResponsesRepeater.Visible = false;
}
The above code returns an error.

the only fix I found was stumbling on some vague "inmotion" documentation that says to use this:
if (grid1.HasData) {
grid1.Visible = false;
}
This works.

4). Another bug found.. Using File Upload Component works as long as it is not contained in an Update Panel. This seems to only refresh the screen with no file transfer.

5). It appears that many users are providing constructive feedback and help on these forums. This is great :-D. I am not sure though if Yes Software is taking them seriously enough. In recent posts from Peter, he mentioned that they do not want bugs reported on this forum and they will be removed. I have tried to respect that however, here is my own 2 cents. I bugs are reported on the forum at least all us users can follow what is going on with the program and fixes, etc. .

It seems to me that Yes Software does not want anything negative on their forum for fear that their reputation is at stake. As another previously mentioned maybe a specific forum for bugs would be a good idea. I like that. This would also mean tha t Yes Software would have to track, fix and follow up on these items more closely. If they handle this well their commitment and reputation will skyrocket.

I like CCS but spend a lot of time figuring out what things do not work as expected. This gets very frustrating .

Anyones help and especially a quick response from Yes Software would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I've just upgraded and it's broke!!! :-@

I get to the project selector - I choose a new so I don't damage my existing projects (upgraded CCS before!) - and it just closes. No warning, nothing!

So I take it off and reinstall the previous version...it does the same thing!

Has the upgrade affected my registry in some way??

So be careful people, wait a bit....

Tony

It's working great for me - Win XP SP3, CCS 4.01, ASP.NET, SQL Server 2005.

Have you reported your issue to support?

Regardless, I'd suggest using the restore point or backup you created before installing the upgrade.

Yep works now,

Support helped. Most times I upgrade just by running the downloaded file. This includes the option to remove the previous installation, which I did.

A couple of times I recall having to remove everything manually including the registry folders. This is one of those times. Maybe it's a major upgrade situation I don't know.

I've asked support why it happened in this case.

Anyway back to normal.

I'll always manually remove CCS and clean registry just in case that's the issue.

Almost back to normal - anyone else got multiple options in their event/actions dialogue box.

I've got everything repeated 3 times?

When will we see the next update. Last one was June 8/08. Many issues have been reported and resolved. It would be nice for Yes Software to share these fixes with all of us. Or, to at least give us a projected date for the next update.
