I am using a multy form screen. On the left I have the Project detail and on the right I have a list of users assigned to the project. This works fine, When I click on the add project staff menu option, from this screen I have a link to add new staff, and I am passing the project_id to the new screen. On this new screen I enter the user_id, Project_role, date_from and Date_to. The Project ID i made to be a bale, just to show if the parameter is passed. Sure enough this all word 100%. But when I add the record, the project_id is not writen to the table - that field remains blank in the table.

labels do not hold values that will be written back to the database. Use a hidden field and for security write the value to it in your before_insert or before_update events.

I'm assuming that you are passing the project_ID as a URL parameter?

I'd use a hidden text field as Tony suggested, and set its Default Value property to: CCGetParam('project_ID',NULL).
