I've been using 3.2 ccs no problems. I decided to try ccs 4 today and download and install it. 4.0.4.00.06. Every thing I do seems to have a huge delay. When using the builder wizard I hit finish and have to wait 60 + seconds before its done. I have rebooted and still the same.
any thought?
vista 64, 4 gig of ram.

I do not notice any difference between 3.2xx and 4.01, both seem plenty quick on Visa 32 Ultimate and 2gig ram
Check with Support, they will likely have a better handle on any problems you are having than we would on the forum.

Avoid the use of Remote conectio during design,
Try to use Local Datbase for Design.

The delay is in the ODBC connector to a remote database.

Thanks I'm using a local db. I've turnin off everything and it no better. Ram usage goes to 70-80% . I'll submit a support request

just wanted to update everyone on this fix.
its called delete windows and reistall it all over again.
I think where I went wrong with the last install of vista was I installed .net 3 then I found I needed .net 1.1 after that the computer was never the same.
