Ok php'ers, I am wanting to do something way beyond my means. I have a system that allows students to upload files to create a portfolio. They can upload and download individual files. Now I would like to add the ability for each student to download a zip file of all their files. Each student's files are in a separate directory by their ID.
I am running on a linux box attaching to a postgres database.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I wanted to add contents of a directory to zip file. I came accross this class with great features, ideal for my needs (open source). Maybe this process may help.
On my registration page a directory is created on signup (AfterInsert event).

Ok, I just started looking at this and have some questions.
First, I want my students to be able to download this file, generated when they click on the link, whenever they want to. Will this be a problem for the script?
Second, Is there a way to set the base path? All of the student directories are under an UPLOADS area.
Third, Can I dynamically, from session variables (UserID) get the users directory?
Fourth, is there a way to tell the script to get all of the user's files?
I will be honest, this is mostly thinking out loud. I have not spent a lot of time (yet) trying to get this to work. So if anyone has ideas about the above, let me know.
