Ok, I don't get it.

I'm trying to create a "link" on a grid that when a user clicks on it, a
record is created on a secondary table.

Docs are not that clear ... any help? any sample I can view?

(I open the CCS Ajax samples but none do what I need)

Thanks.

Hi Jan

No, the docs aren't much help, are they? I've been struggling with a number of Ajax features, but slowly getting there.

Very basically, you assign an Ajax UpdateDb feature, set it to Update, specify the table and fields you need, and lastly set whatever will 'trigger' it - in your case, a link.
