Hello All,
I have been using CC for awhile now and it has turned profits for me incrediabley. It's fast, fun and easy. I have reading all the posts for a while and their is usually a post every day asking for a community to exchange files and info. Well folks since the CC community has been great to me I am willing to create this site. I need input from all of you though. What are your ideas on the ideall CC site? If you can think it I will make it, of course I meight need some of your guys knowlege. I have already enhanced the forum with smileys and have split it into numerous sections, like Language specific, databases, and general. My server uses SA-Fileup so uploading/downloading is possible.
So everyone reach deep into your brain pan and give me the ideas.

Sounds good! Be a fun place to be!

I would like to see a code gallery that is language specific so that users can go and find snippets that they could copy right into there own project. Also, a gallery that lets users post programs that they have written in CC so that others may download them much like gotocode has done exceptit should be users submissions.

What I would really like is a database exchange. Where users can submit as well as downlaod created databases (sql files etc.).

I think I understand. I am going to write in ASP (the most used of CC users) to get it going since I know that best. If the site gets used I will change it to .Net where everything is customized to the user via modules. i think this is what you want.

My intention was to give the WEBMASTER the possibility to change and customize his Site with Modules easily - if the User could customize some things, too, this would be an extra feature, but not the main goal...

Thats the reason for using PHPNuke for the most: there are many Modules to extend the own Site in many variations.

And .Net are great, but how many People have it avaiable for their Site ?

Most People have PHP/MySQL and ASP/Access - but in Germany the first combination is the most common used, so I would contribute to this project to port such a solution to PHP...

Best wishes from Germany

I think if you check the result of the votes you will notice that 12% more CC people use PHP than ASP :)

Si you're right there are more PHP than ASP. I have already started in ASP and it's coming around pretty fast so I don't want to change languages. Thanks for your inputs. The site combines the GoToCode site and the portal and then the file library I am making. I like it it I hope everyone does too.

I would like to see component downloads for servers.

I've been using CC for a while and I can say that saves my life. Could be fantastic that the users can post projects in cc format, discuss, tips, etc.

I'm completely agree with Monika, PHP & MySQL is better option for a free community.
