codecharge studio 3.0.1.5- just did a new project and uploaded to a new host. when trying to login, the login page just seems to refresh rather than go to the "return page" i specified. never had this problem before. tried re-doing it with authentication builder, same results. any ideas? did i miss something?

After the "refresh" you mention, are there maybe any parameters in the url that may imply how the login procedure went?

thanks for replying- this is what i get- htt p://domain.com/reporting/Login.php?ret_link=%2Freporting%2Fassets_list.php&type=illegalGroup
i have two security groups- 0 is users, 1 is admin

The parameter "illegalGroup" implies that there is some problem with the security groups. Try to "ReGenerate Code" for the common files and publish the file "Common.php" and upload it to your server.

And if you use table for security groups check contents on server, in fact do same for user table.
Happened to me, unsynced databases local vss

still can't figure it out- i redid the project from scratch twice- checked user table and grid table for groupId match-
using CCGetGroupID() expression to delimit grid records by login.
done this so many times in the past can't seem to figure out what's missing this time

Although solved, it's better to use 1 and 2 as your security levels. 0
sometimes gives unexpected results.
