Hi,

In a record form I disable a textbox in certain cases. This field is required. If the textbox is disabled and I submit the form in edit mode I get an error, that this field is required, cannot be empty. But the field originally got the correct value! Why will be empty pushing the button?

Thanks, Norbert

It is not being emptied........
It is disabled, therefore it is not posted when you press submit.
The validation is still firing but as the data is not posted it is evaluated empty.

Thank you!
So I must store the value somewhere, from where I can send it. It is correct?

Stick it in a hidden form field.
