I have small box with grid inside. It is used to show list of links. 10 links per box, other links can be seen through pagination.

Of course, it reloads complete page when navigation button is clicked, is there a way to do this with ajax call so I do not reload complete page? If it can, what modifications are needed?

I saw post:
http://forums.yessoftware.com/posts.php?post_id=87668
but I wonder if there is way to do this without making changes to default CCS files?

Many thanks,

Andrej

I think the easy answer is,
add an "update panel" on you page (prefferably) above your grid.
Then select the grid and 'drag'it into the update panel.
Now you have a Ajax'd grid not reloading the page but just 'loading' the panel and it's grid.

Thnx, but it does not seem to work :(

Page on which I did this is included in another page and as I read here it seems to be the problem...
I searched forum for solution and found:
http://forums.yessoftware.com/posts.php?post_id=99058
but none of the suggestions there work for me...

Any ideas?

Thnx,
Andrej
PS same grid in update panel in normal (not includable) page works fine as supposed...

Update!

Will post this as I did not find solution elsewhere.

I have just made cut/paste all javascript from include page to page it is included into, just above </head> and ajax started to work...
All javascript I have cut got regenerated on first page publish.
Not that I like/understand it but will do for now.

Still if there is any nicer solution, please post it.

Regards,
Andrej

Well, another problem I noticed.

Links in grid in update panel just trigger panel refresh and not the whole page as needed.
I tried to set panel options for "Children as Trigrers" to No and than under "Refresh" options for Update Panel I have chosen Navigator OnClick.
I expected that by doing so, clicks on navigator will cause only Panel refresh and other links will refresh page but it does not work... now clicks on Navigator also cause complete page to refresh.

If anyone has solution for this please post.

Many thanks,

Andrej
