Greetings,

I am wondering whether anybody can confirm whether the file upload component will work when the record component it is in is nested inside an update panel?

I have a record (product) grid & record (images) arrangement for uploading images and related image information for a product entry.

The image grid and the image (&caption) upload record work when they are not inside an Update Panel, but the file upload component stops working when it is inside the Update Panel.

When inside the update panel the image record submits fine but without the image if the file upload is not required, but otherwise gives the error "The file attachment in field FileUpload1 is required."

Does anyone know, is there something I'm doing wrong, or doesn't the file upload component work from inside an update panel?

Thanks,
Don A

Greetings,

Some further searching confirmed my suspicion that the File Upload doesn't work inside an update panel, at least not without modification.

But materix has a suggestion on how the desired behaviour may be emulated.

Hello Mr Brown,

The issue isn't resolved but clarified.

FileUploads don't work inside Update Panels.

I've redone the page without update panels, which isn't as pretty but it works.
